Vin on Frame..where is it?

I'm looking for the Vin on my frame and can't find it. Its for my 77 k5. The 73+ forum is a "bit" slow lately and I need to find it
I know you guys would know

Look on the top of the framerail right next to the steering gearbox. It's a partial VIN.

On the pick-ups it's in that location. The number on the top of the frame rail near the steering box should match the last 8 diggets or so of your vin#. There may also be a number on the passenger frame rail, on the side of the frame under the door area ( on pick-ups anyway ) This I believe is a part# not the vin #
