good news for air suspension

kp components is working and almost done with a 6 link cantilever kit for 67-72 truck. what is a 6 link? well you have your stander 4 link in fron of rear end and a bar (a link) in the back of rear end. the bag then is mounted on the back bar and this way the bag is out of the way and get more travel up, same as down and the ride is the best thing ever. he good thin its all bolt on and safe so you dont have to weld it in and replaces stock mount.

its something like the pic on this page

But..... You can't use your truck as a truck; they don't recommend towing or hauling 'heavy' loads w/the 6-link as the 'dog-bones' are the weak link per KPC.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

I would think not too many people used their slammed truck for towing, at least I don't. Anyway, the reason I like this kit is that you can use it in conjunction with a big notch. That airride rear trailing arm kit doesn't get you low enough for the money your spending. This setup should be around $1200 based on the price of the 73-87 kit. This in the rear with porterbuilts front crossmember would be killer! for anybody with a little disposable income... just my ¢.02

KP's kit will be worth the $$ because their stuff is bolt in & is a nice design.

Re: good news for air suspension

I used the KP 6 link when I bagged my 99 nbs Silverado. I loved it. This was about about 4 years back and the guy I sold it too hasn't had any problems from it either. No problems with fit or anything, great function and easy to work with. Heres some pics when I was building it and after

And lifted, this was before I got my adj. pressure switch, but for the life of me I can't remember what pressure switch I did have in this pic?

Re: good news for air suspension

If that kit was available when I started my truck, I would have strongly considered it. I have enjoyed building my own from scratch, but for the next build, I am going to welcome bolt-on kits with open arms.

Re: good news for air suspension

That looks great! Considering how nice some of the other offerings are, I would be interested in seeing this one up close.

Looks good, I like the 6 links. Just the panhard bar mount looks like it will stress the frame. Not a big problem to address though.
