Family/relatives with a garage? Other than that(unless a local member has extra space) the storage places will eat you alive for the cost.

Well if you were in the Midwest I would be able to store your burb with the 6 or 7 other Suburbans just like it in my barn. Always room for like minded individuals.

Re: Long Term Storage of Suburban Ideas???

Maybe just run a simple add in the ( Wanted ) section of the newspaper.
describe the situation and offer them a lump sum for six months or so.
some body has to have an extra stall that they do not need.

Put the price you are willing to pay, somebody will want that money, hopefully.

And if you want to make them look even better..............white wheels, dog dishes AND a small, thin, chrome trim ring!!! It brakes up the white and looks killer!!!!

Re: Long Term Storage of Suburban Ideas???

Find the cheapest place in the country to store it inside.

drive it to that town, enjoy the drive. moth ball it, set it on blocks, let 15 pounds of air out of the tires. give the storage unit owner and extra fifty bucks to start it evry 4 months and let it idle for 15 minutes.

call cab with cell phone, get ride to airport, fly to D.C or overseas from there.

I pay a buck fifty a foot the length of vehicle a month, for clean, inside, mouse controlled storage.

i have 3 in storage now and pay about 86/month including tax.

a sub would be about 30 bucks/month including tax.

life is good.
