Snow is my FRIEND??? (Longhorn relocation thread revisited)

As some of you know, i am getting the one ton out from my parrents driveway and hauling it to the shop I work at to speed up the progress. (can't have racedvl beat me with his engine swap, he'll talk too much crap)
As I was trying to clear all the (real wet) snow out of the way so I can push it to the street, i thought about the front clip on the other side of the house...Uh oh....I'm here alone too.
Here's a tip...if there is snow on the ground, you can flip the front end over onto the hood and drag it pretty easily. (If my weak @ss can do it, most of y'all can too)
Here's how far I had to drag the dang thing.

Now, if only i can figure out how to put it on the truck without a lift...alone.

Anyone wanna swing by and gove me a hand? Need some one with a strong back and a weak mind.
The plan is a buddy of mine from work is swinging by Sunday morning with his one ton van and a flat bed. Gonna push it up on the trailer and haul it to the shop where I can work in a heated space with air tools and where NAPA brings the parts to me.
Hmm, i wonder if I can get a discount at the junk yard we deal with too....
Now THAT would be awsome.
I know...I'm rambling on...I'm just bored while I give my back a rest. Had too many lower back injury s to take it for granted. If you've ever been laid up on the couch for a week not being able to even get up to pee you know what I'm talking about.

You should lower the rest of the truck with bags and all then installation of the doghouse will become much easier. I see no other solution :p

Yeah, when i was a teen, I would actually remove the hood from my old Citation and go sledding on it, when i was done, we'd just re-install it again. Always kept it waxed too.
Best friggen sled ever made too.

Ah man. . . . your gonna have me beat!! I'm waiting for some of this salt to get off the roads so I can get it smog tested, then, out goes the crap engine. Of course I wall have alot of pics of the process. I was thinking it would be a good time to do the front cross member swap at this time, but now I think I just wanna get the new engine in.

Dude, do the cross memeber at the same time...why pull it twice?
While your at it, pull off the front clip and detail the front portion of the frame and the crossmember. It'll be way worth it. nothing sets off a good looking engine better than a good looking eng compartment.

Andy, pull the hood off and set the front clip in place. I put mine on by myself, but there is no way I could have done it with the hood bolted on.

Andy, I live between Dayton and Springfield. When were you planning to do this? I could be there in about an hour? Sunday is good until about 3pm. Call if you need the help. My # is 937-849-9293.

Dan

Dan, i may take you up on that sometime soon... I'll have beer or something here... I'll be doing the bed on it in the kinda near future.
Tomorow morning the guy from work is coming by and the 2 of us can get it on the trailer.
I got the clip on now. Got my dad to help, but now he's complaining of his back pain. mine hurts too, but its from all the snow.
Jason...I did not know that. Never woulda guessed either. I thought it was a typo like the old longhorn web bite that TJ likes ragging on me about.
