Question Windshield rubber replacement

When replacing the windshield rubber, do you have to use any kind of sealant with the new rubber?

I agree with John on the seal. If you do experience a problem then the sealant can always be injected in by a good glass shop.

I like to avoid sealant because of the mess, and most of the time it is not needed.
