i have seen some of these vendors selling 2 kinds of replacement ducting....the OEM kind and i guess a cheaper plastic kind....is the plastic one that much worse to use?....has anyone ever bought any?

I'm looking at ducting myself and saw that myself.
I honestly can't see why the plastic one would be cheaper...I migh just bite the bullet and find out.
Anyone else done it yet?

One of the first jobs I did when I bought my truck was rebuild the heater controls, fit new control cables and replace the missing defrost vents and all new ducting (non air) This was done with a rebuild kit from Chevy duty and all the hoses were plastic. Seemed easy enough to fit, were very flexible and should last years. When was the last time you had to replace the ducting on your clothes dryer? it's exactly the same stuff.

I made mine out of some PVC pipe and some Fernco couplings. Worked out really well.
