Cut those stops off, Dads r/w. I have no stops in mine and I do not bottom with 3" coils and 2.5" spindles.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Nothing special on mine. 2" blocks in the rear and the front torsion bars backed off a bit in the front to level it out. All done by PO.

I would like to go a little a lower in the future, but I have never done any suspension work before and may need a little advice from you guys....

Here 'ya go. 2.5" Drop spindles, 5" Drop rear springs, no c-notch. Shock relocation brackets and a super track bar (adjustable). All from Early Classic Enterprises.I put the biggest sway bars I could find on it. It handles like a go-cart. A little rough in the rear. The front is fine. 15x8 wheels front and rear. 275-60 front, 295-50 rear tires. I had 160 pounds of railroad track in the rear of the frame rails, but just took it out to put in the fuel cell.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Good looking trucks everybody!

"TheDark1" Do you know the backspacing on your rear wheels? Are the backs 10" wide or 8's?

"DaddyMack" What are your wheel and tire specs? They look nice. I like the door peep mirrors also. IMight just have to be a copy cat on the mirror.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

They are all 8" wide rims. The back spacing is 4" I think. I'd have to measure to be sure. The rims were bought at Western Auto about 1993 or so. I know I didn't special order them though. I'm trying to find some 10" or 12" wide slots for the back. The peep mirror I have came from JC Whitney.

255/45-18 all the way around without touching a thing...

American Racing Torqlite wheels. I don't remember if they are 18 x 7 or 8

i actually got rid of the peep mirror and put the big one back on. I think I like the look better, but most of all, I can see.

Love your truck Corts!

Beautiful, and those are the tires I want to run on my truck, though I'm leaning toward blackwalls...

That said, those white walls make your truck!

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

My old 1961 has CPP 4 inch rear drop springs and the torison bars cranked down until they drag on everything in their way. The ride is good but the dragging is bad. If your truck does not have torsion bars
not a problem. This pic is before the rear springs arrived and it is sitting on the bump stops in the rear.

Re: Post Pics of your Static Drops!!

Add some snow and they drop a little more. But the traction is not so good. Waiting for spring.

Haha, at the moment I'm like yourself, in Moose Jaw. The truck isn't here, however, as it's in winter storage.

Thanks, Purrs really nice and sounds even better when you give it some gas. PO had them under the cab and you could not hear anything, I always get comments on how good it sounds and its quiet in the cab too.

my '62 before air ride. Its tough to tell in the picture, but ride height was 2 1/2" at the rocker. It was dropped as far as it would go and channeled (body-dropped) three inches.
