I have finally given up on my search for a drivers side fender with a fuel filler hole for the 83 c10. I ordered a replacement fender without the hole. I think I am going to use the idea someone on this site gave me and cut the fuel filler hose and mount it under the fender somehow. I am looking for suggestions from people who have already done this. It comes off the road during the winter, so snow/salt/sand kicking up won't be a problem. And I don't mind filling it underneath the fender (I am under that truck 1/2 the time anyway

). I guess I am looking for advice on how to mount the filler hose securely under the fender and any problems you think I may encounter. Thanks!!

if youre meaning bedside, LMC has them.. on an 83 its a square hole with a fuel filler door not a round hole

I have been looking for the drivers side rear fender. I did check with LMC but they told me that they don't carry any rear stepside fenders with the fuel filler hole on the drivers side. Where did you see them list it?

On page 29, LMC the right side with a fuel door. You can get right or left with out the door, but not the left with the fuel door.

You could make a panel out of sheet metal. cut a hole to match the mount and mount it to each side of the fender brace. Or cut the filler door out of the old fender and mount it to the brace. Then you have a door over your gas cap.

I'd take the existing fuel filler hose and cut it into as short a straight section as possible. Take the steel end (that the cap fits into) and stick that into your newly formed straight section of hose. Take the vent hose and cut it so that it works with your new arrangement.

Fill tank with gas, install cap and drive truck until empty. Repeat as often as necessary.

Thank you for the suggestion. Would you somehow attach or make a bracket for that steel peice to mount on the underside of the truck?
