Financeing a Classic?
I was kind of curious about this. Surely not everyone has 20k or so laying around to pay cash for a finished truck. Can you get one of these financed?

Some poeple get their home refinance and use some of the money from there...it's legal. You can probly get a small bank loan to buy a car and just drop it onto your project. Theres always way to work the system.

Brad, I have used peoplefirst.com on several occasions. I have put down a couple grand cash of my own and used their "BLANK CHECK" to fill in the rest. One the ones I have done I have not even had to have an appraisal. This is how I purchased the 37 ford convertible that we have now. It is a very professional and user friendly setup. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone.

Anything that is colattateral will work. House, boat, cars,etc..

I just let mine sit when i'm short on cash. I've also been working on mine for about 5 years. I've been working part time and schoolin full time. Just personal preference, I hate paying interest.

IMO do not use credit to work on a hobby project. Save until you have the money!!!!!

I just need it back on a rolling chassis and out of the garage with some sheet metal on it. (got dinged by the association). I was planning a 3 yr rebuild with saving money along the way, but it kinda got urgent.

What about auto brokers? What do they do? I assume they act as a middle man and then take their cut, do they also help by financing?

Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm
