How do you remove....?

How does the paint division stainless trim under the back window come off without goofing it all up? Can this be removed at the corners by popping it off with a can opener and then slid off?
What is the best way?
Thanx

I usually remove them with my fingers. Soak it down with a penetrant and start on the outside end by the roof drain. Push down on the top of the chrome and pull out on the bottom. Do this for the side clips and then you can pull the chrome to slide half of the chrome off. This works pretty good for me and you don't bend the chrome.
