bench seats

i'm going put a bench seat from this era in my sons 66 so he'll have shoulder belts. i've been lookin at trucks boneyards have listed and noticed a trend. my question is, do they make a leather split bench seat like the cloth ones? all the leather seats i see are the modified bucket looking things with the little jumper in the middle that flips up. i would really prefer the 60/40 style with the bigger flip down storage arm rest. the price only goes from $200 cloth to $400 leather so would like to get that for him. he bought it last year when he was 10yrs old with his mowing business money. so we have plenty of time to be picky if they make one like i want

Re: bench seats

I sold GM cars 1999 and 2000 and if you wanted leather in a truck you had to get the bucket style seats or the full buckets with console. Leather mandated on the option sheet. If you have your heart set on that style you will need to recover them in leather.

Re: bench seats

99 - 06 Silverados did not offer a bench seat. All these trucks came with the 40/20/40 buckets with jump seat console, or buckets with a full plastic console. Regardless of cloth or leather. Also, the work trucks had the jump seat that did not fold down to
armrest position.

The 60/40 seats were in Silverados from like 95 - 98 but do not have a internal seat belt.
I have been a tech at a chevy dealer since 99 and have never seen a split bench 99 - 07 Classic Silverado, Tahoe, or Suburban.
