1969 Custom/C10

I have a chance to pick up a Custom/C10 long box wood bed with original 350cid. The engine shows an original 4bbl and double hump heads. Is this a 4 bolt? Also, the color is a light mauve/lilac purpleish pink (?). Can that color still be found or will I need to try and match it?

The body is rough and the bed is essentially gone. The owner is a buddy and he got the truck from his dad who bought it new. He says it is all original. What is a good price to pay for a project like this. Ballpark figures will help. I can't afford to pay for nostalgia.

Well, not much response...

I have decided to give him the money he is asking for. I kind of had to promise to leave it the original lilac/mauve color as the primary. It is an "interesting" color.

Not an easy way to tell if it is a 4 bolt without pulling the pan. You really don't need a 4 bolt anyway unless you plan on building it with a massive amount of HP's. Hope you enjoy it. I have a 72 Cheyenne from Montana. By the way, pay as little as possible. It is expensive to purchase sheet metal and trim for these trucks. A nice frame off is going to cost you at least $20,000 Good luck and post some photos when you take delivery.

Thanks for the info. I am not too concerned about total power but it is still nice to know what I will be dealing with. I built a fairly powerful 2bolt for a car I once owned and it was more than strong enough.
