Bilstein shock help needed
I want to install Bilstein shocks in the rear of my '72 C10 Fleetside (with leaf springs). Problem is Bilstein doesn't have a rear fitment for this truck. They have to have a shock that would work. Anyone know of a part number that would fit?

I'm pretty sure CPP offers a Bilstein shock for the rear of our trucks. Hit up Jeff Norton from Classic Performance Products (screen name CPP Jeff) he'll be able to help you for sure. He usually hangs out in the suspension forum.

CPP and others carry a bilstein replica of the factory shocks and are $90 a piece. A straight bilstein is about $70 a piece. I'd rather save the $20 a shock and try and find the bilstein branded shocks.

The shocks CPP sells are designed by Race Car Dynamics and then built by bilstein. i have them on the front of mine and i will soon be buying them for the rear.
there should be a bilstein out there that fits. call RCD and talk to them, they should be able to find you the right shock. http://www.racecardynamics.com/class...ag/airride.htm |

Digging up the past, however did you ever come across a part # for the rear coil spring suspension Bilstein shocks? Do either Bilstein part #s 24-002486 or BST-55-R034 ring a bell? Thanks, -Fred
