Grande-PITA Fuel Filler

I have only seen a few fuel fillers that looked half decent and worked like they were supposed to. ( I am not sure mine does either ) I needed new fuel hose's for mine and wanted a smooth look for the side of the Blazer, Never liked the look of the stub and gas cap sticking out. Boat top fill is 1 1/2" so the tubing is also same. (instead of 1 3/8 original) I had replaced stock tank 15 years ago with a poly, so it has hardly been used. ( Blazer has been parked for a while before starting on the 2wd conversion.) Heated up stub on poly tank and bent nozzle forward to clear body mount. Bought 3ft of 1 1/2 " fuel hose from McMaster carr 90 degee elbow up thru the bed, I made a 1 1/2'' 55 degree tube that is welded to the boat fill neck. The original fuel filler attaches from the back, the vent and fuel tube are 1 piece. Vent tube would be to big to go thru hole in rear quarter panel, Vent must be added from the back side. Attaching boat fill to blazer side needs something solid to attach to so I filled inside Blazer side with pieces of Trex decking contoured to profile inside of quarter panel. It will be months before I get to fuel her at the pump. I Might have to save up for a custom tank......Edward.
