The tabs are broken on the nut inside the door to screw the arm rest on.
Where can I get a replacement?

I had no idea replacements were available. I had a miserable time trying to use rusty ones from the wrecking yard! SONOFA!!! Oh well, shoulda asked the board!

I used my MIG to tack a regular hex nut in there. I guess that's what happens when you have a new MIG. You find reasons to use it.

This may be a dumb question on an older thread but can the same parts be used to mount the door panels? The 4 screws along each bottom?

Mine were so badly rusted, only a couple came out. The other ones had to be drilled out or fell out of door with a little manipulation.

I tried a set of "HELP" series of license plate plastic pop in mounting tabs but a little too tight of a fit that didn't work. I could probably modify the plastic clip or the opening but since this is a patina truck, I didn't want to screw it up beyond repair in case someone decides to do a proper restoration in the future.

All you have to do is buy a license plate bolt set and use those plastic push square nuts that come with them they fit and work perfect , perfect size just snap them in and you are done

I just read the previous post in this thread saying that the plastic license plate bolt snap in nuts were too tight yes they do fit tight but snap them in they will fit and it makes your screws fit real tight ive been using them for this purpose since the 80s never had a problem

Thanks guys. Maybe I was tired or just needed a little time and distance to rethink it. There are a couple of different plastic license plate nuts, one is a thicker plastic, and the other thinner. I bought what was on the HELP rack at the local PepBoys, which was thicker type. Couple of taps from the hammer and they popped in. Still with the springy part was too snug to pop back out for the screw to fit. Easy fix was to take a drill bit to open up the hole a little. Works perfectly now.
