Re: How about some pics of Static Dropped C-10's

I get my crown suspension 5 inch rear drop kit today so ill be throwing that on this weekend (if wether permits), it rained last night so who knows. im currently running shackles in the rear with a few leafs out. The 5 inch drop will probably drop the rear below level which i will then fab up or adjust the current rear shackle so it sits level. but i will also have a c-notch which im most excited about. mo more bottoming out on dirt roads when im hauling multiple bikes in the back.

my long tube headers scrape on more stuff than my bumpers do. i managed to rip off my back fiberglass roll pan when moving into a new house and didnt notice the sprinkler sticking 12 inches out of the ground. oh i was pissed (on top of being pissed cause moving sucks) . loading onto trailers with short ramps is always scary i almost always park the back tire of the tow vehicle on blocks to help decrease the approach angle of the trailer ramps. But i can honestly say i have never hit bumper on a driveway anywhere.

I am running a turbo and have one 4 inch down pipe and we ran it out the side of the bed. Keeps everything simple and clean under the truck.

5.3 with a Borg Warner S475 turbo. Built turbo 350 tranny but have a 4L90e that is getting built to replace it. 3.07 rearend with a Auburn locker. 635 HP 600 ft lbs Tq at the rear wheels. Stock bottom end, Tooley Stage 2 cam and valve springs. Brutal Speed and Tuning in Maiden NC did the engine swap and built the turbo system and tuned it.

I see you are running just the master cyl and no power assist. Im assuming you have disc in the front and drum rear. What's it like to stop it?? I'm considering just running manual on my 71 until I can afford the time and money to work out a hydroboost unit. Sweet truck. I'm also going turbo 5.3. Gonna run an on3 78mm and build the hot side myself. Or try anyway. Lol. Also sorry for the hijack. Back to stance. Badx if you could pm me your answer when you get time that would be cool.

It works good, you have to allow for stopping distance but it will lock the tires up if you mash them hard enough. Power brakes would be nice of course but I like the clean set up of just the master cylinder. Nigel at Brutal Speed and Tuning did all the fab work and tuning on my turbo, that guy has some crazy welding and fab skills. This is my first turbo and hate I haven't had one before now, you are going love it. He chose to go with the Borg Warner because of the sound of it, it is crazy loud spooling up and is good up to 1050 HP and we plan on building the bottom end later to get up in that range.

1979 Big 10 with 4.5/6 drop no notch. Kept 8 pack leafs in, and still have 3" between rear end and frame. Measured 4.5" drop in front and 6.25" drop in rear. Truck is level at 26.5" to the middle of the fender wells.

Western Chassis 2.5" spindles and 2" coils
Belltech rear flip kit, no notch
Belltech shocks 4" front 6" rear
No shock extender brackets.

Thats an old pic when it was on 15's. The rear were Hoosier Pro Street 31 x 12.5 from memory. Fronts were an 8.5 inch wide wheel but I dont recall the tyre size.
