Simple Transmission Question

As winter draws near today I am moving my 54 to my daughers to store for the winter.Next week I will be moving my 58 Fleet into the shop.I have frame done and motor and Transmission are installed,just need to hook up brakes.My question is,how much and what kind of fluid do I put in the 700r trans.how do I put fluid in?does it need to be running? I had trans built and the is no fluid at all

About 10 quarts, usually. I put 5 in with the engine off, then crank the motor and add till it gets near full on the dipstick.
