Re: Project Beatrix

Hey Brandon the emblems look great. What are you doing the rendering in? My son is currently taking a class in solidworks and had thought about buying the software package, but it's pretty pricey. Is there a cheaper option?

Rob I'm using Fusion360. It's a cad/cam package that is way more affordable than Solidworks. I used Solidworks for years and like it but Fusion is cam/cad all in one and no where near the cost. Let me know if you want to know anything else.

Re: Project Beatrix

Another nice thing is Fusion integrates with 3d printers and plasma/water jets too

Is it a easy transition from one to the other? Where's the cheapest place to get the software?

Real easy transition for me. They have settings to make the environment work like Solidworks too. It's also the same Parametric modeling as Solidworks. Here is a link to Autodesks site http://www.autodesk.com/products/fus...4-8aAhdl8P8HAQ

One additional thing is Fusion integrates with 3d printers and plasma/water jets. Text me if you want more detail.

Some additional badges I have done. Working on the side badge for the 67-68 now. Taking a lot more time to figure out than these flat ones!

Got a little more work done on the truck this weekend. Working on installing the bed wood kit from Mar-K and the ChubTubz from Hartrod!

Also did a custom engraved shifter knob as a joke for a buddies 1967 bagged Beetle!

Re: Project Beatrix

Working on a few custom badges for some SEMA trucks this year.

These are for Hank over at Hanro Studios Aluminati hand engraved truck.

Did these for the guys over at River City Rods in Iowa

Finally got a set milled for my truck and will also do a set for LeftcoastC10 on IG which is another SEMA truck in the Royal Purple booth.

Did a few other sets for different trucks around the net too.
These are black anodized
