Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

What's up Jason? Glad to see you around here during winter. It will be over soon, you can burn up the road in the C/10 or trade it for the Camaro. They are both super cool. In the end, it's totally your decision
I am building a 67 Camaro next myself.

For the record, There's not many equally equipped trucks like ours worth as much as a 69 Camaro. They are always worth more cash.

The winter will play games with your heart and head, having your ride parked is hard at times, Camaro sounds nice but I have had about 140 trucks, low rider 2wd's huge 4wd's and a lot of muscle cars and street rods, all were fun when I owned them, even when they were a long build and thought I would keep them forever, few shows then drive it and you will know what works for you.

Hey Mike, it's good to hear from you, I'm not sure what I'll do. As of now, in April I'll probably take it down to the auto fair in Charlotte and see what's out there. I've looked on eBay, Craigslist, etc, for a couple months now, I'm not bragging on my truck but there's not a lot of vehicles that I could replace mine for a reasonable cost that I like. I just browse for a little while.......

Hey Mudman, I think the problem is "I want them all"
My bank account and my wife get in the way, mainly the $$$$$

Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

It'd been awhile since I've logged on here, spring time is always busy around the house getting everything back in order and cleaned up after winter. My wife and I took a trip to Pigeon Forge this weekend for a quick relaxing break, it just so happened to be the All Truck Nationals there....... what's the chance, huh. Anyway I took the old black C/10 down and I did put a for sale sign on it friday. Alot of tire kickers but no interest that day, I told her I was going to drive back to the show for a couple hours on Saturday, well then it happened, SOLD. When the fellow told me he would take the truck, it was probably the hardest to let go vehicle I've ever had, even though I've had ups and downs with the build it was tough to see it go. But now I'm back looking for something else and by no means I don't want this to be a WTB thread but Im leaning towards an Ls swapped 67-72 , once you get the fever there's no cure......

Re: Jason's 70 Big Block SWB Project

There may be an LS swapped 67 Chevelle convertible in my future after my C10 sells. Bags and Billets, just low and clean.

If not, possibly one of the new T/A 392 Challengers. We shall see..

If it's not what you want right now then all good and can move on to what you want next, with a good eye and careful planning hopefully isn't very long.

I was in PF over the weekend and seen you cruising in your truck. Told my wife that is one badass C10. Then I seen it up close at the Nationals. What a beauty.New owner should be very happy.

What headers are you using. I've got a 67 with a 454 . I'm having trouble finding headers that fit

I used Sanderson BB8's, I would recommend using factory style motor mounts for a big block.

Hey here's an idea for you, a 69 RS Camaro/Chevelle with a 4 wheel disk, 2/4 drop and a LS motor.
Possibly a 67 fastback Mustang with a 2010 Cobra motor, 4 wheel disk and a 2/4 drop.
Any of these choices should get the juices flowing!

That's the problem, I like so many different vehicles. I see something I like and then I go to a show or mess around on the internet and see something else. What do I want?????
