1972 only gauge question

On a 72 what is the most optioned up factory set up you could get on a gauge pod? From my understanding you could not get Speed Minder. I'm talking 1/2 and 3/4 tons, standard or 4x4 pick up only, so nothing from the bigger trucks

My guess vacuum and air only came on the bigger trucks. Also not talking about delete stuff, like choke delete plate.

Does anyone have a maxed out gauge pic they can show?

Re: 1972 only gauge question

1/2 and 3/4 ton would have the 7 gauge cluster with one being blank (lower right) and a tach in the middle.
Speedminder was done in 69, and air and vacuum were c-40 and up.
Choke deletes were gone in 69.

Re: 1972 only gauge question

I guess if they didn't have choke deletes they probably didn't have chokes either. How bout manual throttle? That's the only other thing I can think of

Re: 1972 only gauge question

Why was speed warning no longer available? I have it in my '70...

Mine's now maxed out but like everyone and their dog I added a vacuum gauge, which I will replace with an air pressure gauge if/when I find a good one. But that hole should be vacant even on a maxed out stock one, right?

I believe your correct, I had a 72 CST K5 blazer that came with factory tach and manual throttle. Here is a pic of the SPID.

Re: 1972 only gauge question

I've seen a few 72's with the manual throttle setup listed on the spid and still intact on the truck as well.

Re: 1972 only gauge question

Yes, manual throttles were available in all years. I think I have seen them on both sides of the gauge cluster also. Most 72s I have seen were on the right side of the column.
