Need dimensions of stock dash openings for stock radio

Does anyone have or would be willing to provide the radio dash opening dimensions for the stock radio on a 72 Chevy Pickup/Blazer/Suburban dash?

I'm looking for 6 dimensions (A through F) shown in the first two attachments.

I'm working on having a bezel machined from aluminum that will allow installation of an original shaft radio into a hacked single din opening. If this looks clean and works well as I expect it will, it will save me from having to fabricate and weld in sheet metal to fix the cut radio opening.

Thanks for your help!

You mean like this? I can get the measurements when I get home. You can check page 12 of my WMB thread for more info.

Wow! Great job!

That's is exactly what I was attempting to accomplish. That looks really nice. Nice write up in your WMB thread.

Could you provide the dimensions when you get a chance?

I plan on milling one from 1/4" aluminum, fastening it from behind with four machine screws then paint it to match the paint on the dash. However, I like the low profile of look of yours- simple and clean.

Re: Need dimensions of stock dash openings for stock radio

OK here goes.
"A" is 1.125
"B" is .875
"C" is 4.5
"D" is .56
"E" is 2.25
"F" is 6.25
These dimensions are off the spare plate I have and not from the laser programming dimensions.

HO455-
This is perfect to get started on this. Thanks so much.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

Re: Need dimensions of stock dash openings for stock radio

After plenty deliberation I've decided to keep the single din opening and replaced the Kenwood ez500 with a JVC KD-AVX44 after hearing mixed reviews on the performance of retro style radios.
