That's good to know for a filler. Why not just carry the baking soda in the box? I mean, nothing more identifiable than a box of Arm & Hammer.

Re: Neat Super Glue Repair Trick
There is a guy at the rod runs and swap meets that sells an adhesive he claims makes super glue obsolete. I bought some after two prior demos where the friend I was with bought it. They also use baking soda to build up with. The stuff is impressive. He tells us this product "molecularly bonds" materials. I asked him if it bonded anything other than molecules. That got him to pause his presentation, did a let me think about that look, and said a definitive "No". He got a kick out of that. What I like is it's two part, you don't loose what you don't used like with Superglue. Not to mention you're not buying it by the fraction of an ounce.

Re: Neat Super Glue Repair Trick
We have used the baking soda super glue for years in the copier business. There used to be a company that offered it up in a "kit" form that actually worked better than using off the shelf stuff. The powder was just a bit different and the glue really bonded with that powder. It was a small mom and pop type company that made repair stuff for copiers and printers. They have since retired though and left the business to their kids that just couldn't seem to make it work and the company is gone now.
That stuff works great for repairing plastic panels and other bits and pieces that crack or break off on copiers and printers.

Re: Neat Super Glue Repair Trick
Could be the stuff I'm talking about is it's present form...or there are many like it. I never used Superglue much, maybe 1/2 dozen times. But not always successful. My son used it a lot doing Warhammer figures. This stuff I bought I would not hesitate to repair any plastic/composite type of object. Should be anything, it bonds molecules right?
