TH 350 floor shifter
Looking for a TH350 floor shifter - preferably cable so I don't have to cut a large hole in floor.
Column shifter has become overly frustrating - Thanks for your input ! |

Re: TH 350 floor shifter
I know Lokar makes at least a couple of them for the TH350.

Re: TH 350 floor shifter
I have a lokar in my 66 and it is a nice shifter. Do you have a bench or bucket seat? Do you want stock looking or just a race shifter?

Is the Lokar a cable shifter? How large of an opening is required? |

Re: TH 350 floor shifter
Lokar makes both cable and linkage rod types. In various lengths and styles.

Re: TH 350 floor shifter
A good performance shifter is the B&M Megashifter. It's the ratcheting type that you can bump with the heel of your hand. I used one for years and would again. The tee handle release for park and reverse soon becomes reflexive and banging gears is smooth as butter.

Re: TH 350 floor shifter
I used a low end B&M. Bought the brackets needed and hooked up easily. Easy also to use their back-up switch and neutral safety switch

Re: TH 350 floor shifter
I would fix the linkage/column for it to work. Spend the money on fixing either the column or linkage. Thats my opinion, but I understand its easy to slap in a aftermarket shifter to get you going. I just dont like the wires and cable being exposed and reaching down to shift the trans. But again, thats my opinion, not here to debate or get into a discussion on aftermarket vs factory....
