power steering box question.
ok, is this an o ring fitting or the flare fitting? I'm so confused now.

Those appear to be o-rings, in there. Show us the hose connections that you pulled out, for a definite description.

the truck had flare hoses on it. when we removed the hoses friends started sayin its the o ring style. truck was not running driving when I got it. and that's the problem I'm having. the o ring hose has the o ring on the hose I think.

Those are o-ring. There are inserts available that sit in those holes to convert to flare.

Sure looks like flare to me and the pressure side might have some damage

Pull the o rings out and look at the mating area where the hose flare sets. I have added o rings to flare fittings before if I had one leaking. Could be someone just added the o rings.
