So your saying the evaporator is freezing solid-temperature wise- without the compressor operating? Impossible.
How do you know this, is the evap removed from it's housing? Do you lose airflow thru the vents? If so, maybe a fan blower issue, but no way is the evap freezing up without gas flowing in the system.
