Re: Opinions please ........

I know its been a few years, but what color did you end up with? If this had been a current thread I would have suggested medium olive because it has a great vintage look and would blend with your darker green interior, engine bay, etc. I also would have asked you to reconsider the dark green you already have, pretty good color if kept clean.

No paint at this time. This is the current condition of the Burb. While my brother-in law disassembled it we discovered the body was just too far gone to repair. Much hidden damage from being rear ended to the tub. Looking for a good tub to continue this project.

WOW, so the body was that bad eh?
Do you have pictures of the damage that signed the death nell for continuing to work? Was there just a lot of patch work, or was it so out of shape that it was hopeless?

Re: Opinions please ........

The Burb had been rear-ended and repaired at some point in its life. We did not notice the wave in the Roof up top. All of the lower pillars were rotted out. Extreme rot in the floor where the transition to to the wood floor is. Windshield glass seal area ....gone. Once we removed the windshield we found the front cowl has rotted away under the windshield rubber. When we originally looked at the burb it did not look to bad. The burb had all the rubber floor covering and insulation. It had an inch of bondo down behind the drivers side door all the way to the tail lights. The white color you see on Both sides of the burb is bondo.... and its thick. Was really disappointed uncovering all this hidden damage.
