When a Craigs list ad has a too good to be true price on something and no phone number and the seller won't answer emails that ask pertinent questions, its a scam..

There was a local news report last night about a guy the was buying a vehicle through craigslist, the buyer did a wire transfer for the down payment, and then could never get in touch with the seller again. The news reporter found the images of the car he was trying to buy on an add over a year old too! (2008 Honda Accord for 2k with 70,000 miles) too good to be true.
I wonder why someone would send money to a seller, with out seeing the vehicle first? Or spending time on the phone with them to ensure, like some long distance truck deals, that they are legit?

If you can't get anyone on the phone, run. Who do think will come out on top when you a have someone that buys a car even 3/4/6 years and a scammer that has been scamming for years and perfecting the scam as it goes along.

i have bought many things from Rusty, he's a great guy. Most of his stuff has been picked over, he does have quite a few square body trucks and part. Most of the 67-72 stuff is gone.

WHOA! That is absolutely a scam. The truck sold recently for $20,500 on the BAT (Bring A Trailer) site. I watched it being sold since I have one nearly identical to it. I cannot understand the mentality of these scammers!!
