removing decals off a '96 K2500

I'd like to remove the pin striping and 4x4 logos.
What is the best way to do this without harming the paint?
Thanx

Google an eraser wheel they go in a drill. Will not hurt the paint. After you are done clean with wax and grease remover.

Do you realize taking off the decals will reveal unfaded paint under them?

Yeah, I'd like to repaint one bedside, looks like chemical or something got spilled on it - it's the only place on the whole truck that the clear coat is lifting off in big chunks. Truck not worthy of a complete paint job... besides, if anybody said anything I could be like "Yeah, pretty cool how I ghosted all that in, huh?"

I read about that eraser too, saw that I need to be careful - this IS the truck to practice on

If you're going to paint it, then 180 grit would be perfect.

I do this on a regular basis at work. If you warm them up they typically peel off. Even parking it in the sun will often be enough.

Nice! I do have a heat gun, I'll start on the bad panel for practice, trying not to over-do it. Do you use a plastic scraper too?

Thanx for the help!

Nope, I Just heat it and peel it off. They can be VERY different one from another so I don't know what you will come up against. I have them peel off in one piece others tear every eighth inch. Hopefully they will come off easy for you.
