Paint Code

I need the paint code for my 77. It is the light or pale blue of that year and I don't have the SPID in the glove box to verify it. I'm wanting to buy some touch up paint n spray cans and want to make sure i get the right color ordered. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Paint Code

A good paint shop should have a paint spectrum anylizer. Few tests on various areas and it will give you the color mix. Best way to match old faded paints . You could get the factorymix but with the years of uv and weather it's no longer that exact color anymore

Re: Paint Code

I only want the paint to do the firewall and inside the front fenders, basically just tidying up the engine compartment, so it does'nt have to be a perfect match. Thanks

Re: Paint Code

After some sleuthing on the inner web I've found the paint code through the GM Media Archives, an arm of the GM Heritage Center. They also are going to send me, if available, the invoice for the truck not the build sheet. It will show the options as ordered by the dealer.

That is right on the edge of what they say they have available, so best wishes on that.

Copy, I think that's actually the paint mfgr code (which is even more helpful to order paint with!) I was referring to what I think would be on the SPID, sorry, I should've clarified, I thought that was what you were looking for. Glad you found what you needed, it's a great color
