Scottsdale vs Silverado side trim?

Reading these descriptions, it appears the Scottsdale had a black plastic/rubber strip with a chrome upper and lower edge; while the Silverado likely used a chrome strip with two small black paint lines. Is this correct? Is the Scottsdale strip reproduced by anyone?

Re: Scottsdale vs Silverado side trim?

Yes, Scottsdale’s came standard with single headlight grilles and black side molding and Silverado’s had dual headlights, chrome molding and wheel well trim. However, you could order a Scottsdale with the bright appearance package and get dual headlights, chrome molding and wheel well trim.

Most of the after market suppliers carry both versions of the molding.

This is the exact appearance I'm shooting for, for the truck in my signature. Does this truck have the typical Scottsdale package, or are those bright wheel moldings added on in addition to the normal Scottsdale stuff?

The inside of this brochure did describe this truck as being a Scottsdale v20, with Canyon Copper upper paint, and Midnight Black lower paint.

Re: Scottsdale vs Silverado side trim?

According to the info in that page they would have been an added option on the Scottsdale package which I think could be done. Maybe Keith will chime in.
