Re: How about some pics of 2WD 2DR Tahoe/Yukons
Outfoxed,
You got me really excited over my truck now, i cant wait to finish the suspension on mine! your truck looks great!!! I wonder how difficult it would be to get a pole going on ride quality with the different vendors that make parts to lower our trucks.

A ride quality thread/pole would be great. I'm still undecided on my DJM. Front seems to ride fine, maybe a little soft, the rear is what I'm not liking. Don't know if its the shocks, maybe smaller tires, but seems to ride rough over uneven roads. I'm pretty sure I clearanced everything good, I can climb onto the bumper and hop on it and hear no banging or hitting, I dunno??? The door wasn't completely shut so it looks off...... |

Re: How about some pics of 2WD 2DR Tahoe/Yukons
looks good....
i would like to lower mine in a few years when i have the money.... mine is still at stock ride height... and it does not ride that great.... i think it is a combination of the short wheel base and stiff rear springs.... |

This is my inspiration. Grimee, I have been searching long and far for you man. There are a lot fo great looking Tahoes in here, funny I didnt find this thread earlier. This is my Hoe, nothing big. BT flip w/helpers, Hotchkis coils and Bilsteins. Looking to upgrade shocks, unless I find a linked rear. Grimee, do you have a build thread? Your Tahoe is exactly what I have been dreaming about for almost 5 years. Great job, it looks amazing. |

Re: How about some pics of 2WD 2DR Tahoe/Yukons
I'll be keeping my eyes out for that issue. 3000 pictures, wow. Thats should be quite the spread. Will that feature have specs on wheels/tires backspacing and such as well as if the rear was narrowed and tubbed? I am very interested in your suspension set up.
Thank You for that shot, it looks great. You really did an amazing job. |

Grabbed it, check post #290
Are there any future plans to be featured in any other magazines? Is that considered an LS3 or an ERod? Did you have any problems with emissions, being in Cally? Thanks |

Re: How about some pics of 2WD 2DR Tahoe/Yukons
Truckin is going to run a series of build articles covering the whole truck .I originally set it up to be compliant but it does not need to be smogged again for over a year so I am going to go for the most power i can get right now then worry about smog later .The motor is an iron block 6,0 with an ls3 top end the iron block handles horse power a little better than the aluminum on the dyno this motor made 746 hp with 6 lbs boost on 91 we got 850 ish with more boost and race gas

Re: How about some pics of 2WD 2DR Tahoe/Yukons
Cool, how much of a stretch are they going to do. 2 or 3 magazines?
What would you have to change or add to pass an emissions test? Just curious, living on the east coast seems to be a lot easier to pass emissions, well at least in MA and NC. Also a member of another forum has asked this question to do a swap in a Tahoe. That motor is a beast. I have an aluminum 5.3 that I'm gathering parts for to go into my Tahoe. It wont near as much as your but will be a nice cruiser for sure. Is it ok if I post pictures of your Tahoe in other forums? I would not do it without your permission. Thanks for everything, I appreciate it. |

Re: How about some pics of 2WD 2DR Tahoe/Yukons
thanks guys
In theory all i need to do is change the adjustable fuel pressure to an 03 corvette reg with return. and add the charcoal canister from the donor vehicle its got cats and stock exhaust manifolds the charger has a carb number the cai has a carb number and it has to pass smog as an 03 you can post pics any where you like.heres a pic of the motor in the truck |
