I was tempted to swipe a set off a motorhome I had seen going down the highway this morning.

It had three sets of 1973-91 style taillights on the back. One set all red, one set all amber and one set all clear.

I think it was a Sparta or a Monaco motorhome.

His mother made them for him. I think they have some sentimental value to him. I thought the exact same thing the first few times... but they grow on you! Some people think they are absolutely kick ass.
His truck is definately different from the norm. Who knew 17s could be pulled off so well?

actually, they were in the truck when i bought it. I dunno if they were a dealer option, or some sort of custom aftermarket option. They look professionally made, and match the interior perfectly. I had my Mom make a set for another '87 i had. I think they look sweet and are a welcomed change over the played out rear tinted or plain clear window. JMO.

Chlsnk, that swap looks awesome!

Here are pics of my 87. Did all the body work and suspension work before leaving to Wichita Falls, TX, Sheppard Air Force Base for my military training. Will return to CT in February. Will prep for paint at that time!

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

I think 80 to 79 would be the same unless one has square lights and the other is round.

Now 81, is a different story.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds

I really like the curtains in the back window. My front tires are 205-60-15's BRGAFX the cowl hood might be for sale locally on CL idk yet. And Im going to stick with the 81-91 front bumper I like it alot more than the 73-80 bumper. Plus it will match my later style sport bumper in the rear.

Thanks! 2.5'' spindles and 2'' coils. Flip kit and lowering shackles set at 1''. So about 4.5/6

235/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear. Looking to swap the rears to the front and putting 275/60 on the rear.

Bahh I was thinking the euro lights I have seen in the magazine. Never mind those clear tail lights are a totally different animal.
