First things first! Two new fuel tanks and lines, road worthy tires, go through the brakes and fixing the exhaust.

It needs shocks and springs, might do a small lift; gotta talk to the spring shop and see what they can do. Needs a bed, drivers door is stoved in, and drivers rocker is rotted out. Interior needs to be freshened up; will be watching Craigslist for a burban getting parted out.

The list of work it needs is long, but it's all small things that can be done in under a weekend. The price was right, and one of these has always been near the top of my " i want one of those" list. Plus i enjoy taking up three parking spots on my block!

Define cool headlights. These? If yes, than you need a new grille, core support, hood fenders and cowl. Maybe more.

if your converting a 78 to a 89-91 you got a lot more to change than just that hood fenders grill rad support wiring bumper bumper brackets. its doable but i think id keep a 78 a 78.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Thanks bigredchevy.......it sort of reminded me of the old 50's chevy visors. I wonder what it would take to convert/section one of those. I think I might even know where one is. Like I said, I normally have a hate on for them...but if I could manage the old school look I might give it a shot.

Thanks again...
