Re: Where are the 1 tons?
That is a actual bullet whole above the rear wheelwell.HaHa They called him Rusty so that name will probably stick. Even though I dont plan on him staying too rusty. Ive aquired a new Cab and doors for it. Probably build a custom flat rack for the rear.

A work in progress, it's a one ton wanna be. It's only a C20, but when it grows up..........

A C/20 with rare dual rear wheel option, right?Did you mean to say it`s a ton one-abee?

Re: Where are the 1 tons?
A couple more of the "ton one-abee". The guys over at the 67-72 boards are probably getting tired of this truck. I've got a couple more things going on it, but nothing is finished..........I'm shooting for the middle of April for a roll out.
(BTW, why are the submit dates on this tread all mixed up?)

Re: Where are the 1 tons?
Thanks, It a 1968 I`ve owned it for 20 years. It has a 396 w/ 4 speed. It`s been in mothballs for a few years, so it`s time to bring it back to the street.

Re: Where are the 1 tons?
"Pop's twuck" (grandson's name) just returned from doing the Camp host thing in "Bannack State Park" in Montana this afternoon. Real neat old Ghost gold mining town. No phone, tv, inter-net and 26 mi. from nearest town for 6 weeks. It was great! Check it out on their web-site if you like that kind of stuff. The old gas-hog 454 has rolled up almost 7,700 mi. since Feb. 23, been to west coast and back, then to Montana and back pulling the 8,300# trailer in pic. Run and pulled like a champ, avg 8.2mpg overall. Had to have a high dollar fuel pump put in in Casper, Wyo. Wife grumbled, why don't you get a new truck? My response was, "That's just one payment on a $40,000+ new one, besides, I like this old twuck! She almost smiled.
I've been a big fan of 1-tons for years also, used them for work, play in all conditions. Enjoy seeing all of you guys trucks. Cayoterun

Re: Where are the 1 tons?
Nice wrecker K. I have been actually doing a little work on 67 C-30 for the first time in almost a year over the last couple of weeks. I hope to have some updated pics of it soon.

Re: Where are the 1 tons?
As promised here a few recent pics. I have to take some time off the project while we expanding my business, but I've actually been working on it lately. I got the frame cut to a 127" wheelbase, and put in a rearend from a '97 C3500 pickup. I have also got my bed mounted and I put new doors on it and started on the rear dually humps today. I don't have pics of it with the new doors yet, but I will take some more when I get the humps put on and when I get a new camera (Mine died!)

Re: Where are the 1 tons?
I appreciate it Special K. I have always planned on putting dually humps and duals on the rear, but I must admit, it looks pretty cool like it is. It reminds me of one of the old Dodges that had single buds. The truck Timmy's dad on 'Lassie' drove was like that!
