Re: Pics Thread:A Motor A Day

Dooley,

Ah, yeah. I didn’t recognize that as an S10 at first being the engine is in there transversely. I forget about those rare little rigs. Back in the late 90’s we had one in our pool at the GM Tech Assist Center on Troy, MI but never really looked at it all that close. The EV1 group didn’t let us other truck guys go near their electric truck toy. I believe they were front wheel drive too.

Okay, today’s engine is the inaugural 5.7L LS1 that started it all or latest new generation small blocks.

The white 97 was front wheel drive and benefited from the EV1 group. I believe this 94 has 2 small DC motors in the rear. and was not done in house.

Re: Pics Thread:A Motor A Day

Contribution for today is a 1992 “Enhanced” 4.3L V6. The first year of optional multiport injection for the 4.3L. Good running little engines. Perfect engine for the Toyota 4Runner I always wanted to build.

Hey, screwball….isn’t that a Ford 352 or something like that?

There ya go.So,what`s the one I showed?I know the exhaust crossed over in front (now that`s funky stuff) on Ford trucks with 352s.I`m not too up on Ford stuff,I admit.I did help a nephew find a sweet`70 F100 352 who had a`65 T-bird 390 and those are interchangable (rare on Fords).

I thought the 352 was a car only motor. The 360 and 390 were the truck motors of that era. The 360 and 390 shared the same blcok and alot of other components.
