Though it may be a 1 ton truck, this is not a "dually". This is a work box type truck (electric Co., Roach Coach, etc.). The rear axle in these trucks is much shorter........that's why the wheels don't stick out, when a regular bed is installed.

Longhair so it was a cab and chassis truck.

Most likely I cut the oak blocks for the original stake body for this particular truck. See I used to work directly next door to Dejana who put the Reading bed on it. They were on Park Ave. in Huntington, NY, now in Kings Park. I'm sure I could talk to Tom in parts over there, if he's still there and research it. www.dejana.com I saw plenty of trucks go in from the factory with the duallies on them already. Also saw some that weren't duallies and got for example utility bodies. However, yes most came in as cab & chassis. What's the actual, factual code for a "dually"? Below is a 71 rollback for sale ($3800) not too far from me. Has a 396 and other than snapping a pic, didn't look it over.

Sure would like to have one of those 18" 3 piece wheels off the 67, but I know the shipping would be to much......I do have a question ...Do you know if you can adjust the clutch on the 72?... I have a 72 Chevy 1 ton and do not know if I can adjust clutch or not.....gene

I'd like to know more about that flatbed too gregful. Its sweet!! Its along the lines of what I'm wanting to do to mine.
Mines nothin special...yet. Supposedly used to be a wrecker, and all my friends and my family are tryin to convince me to throw one back on there. I just like the flatbed look to much.
