Re: need help from u fab guys

it was 9" from bottom of the frame to bottom of the notch. if u were to put a bump stop in the notch it and the frame would hit at the same time. then u could put some 2" blocks and u should have it.

Thats what im going to do. I talked to a guy last night with a 72 burban that is about a 1/4 " from laying the pinchweld. He told me all I have to do is add a 3 inch block between the trailing arms and axle. I really dont want to swap to a 4 link. I like the 2 link setup.

To Lay with 22's you need a 10" notch.

good job man, looks awesome. I know how you feel. I had to scrap my first notch too, but it will be worth it in the end.

I absolutely hate that style notch. It looks hideous in my book. I prefer notches made out of box tubing.

Re: need help from u fab guys

That funny this came up after my post. That style notch is what I first started with and didn't like the way it looked, so tore it off and am now in the middle of doing an all box tube notch. Agree with all, looks much better. The plate notches I see usually end up looking like an appendage!

There are some exceptions. Heres one from SD.
