Re: Cracked Exhaust Manifold Questions

What goes on between the intake and exhaust manifolds above the valve, could a leaking gasket between the two cause a problem like this? Or would it just be an exhaust leak? Adam |

Re: Cracked Exhaust Manifold Questions
I just don't like the interupted exhaust flow, you could just wire it open for a test.

Re: Cracked Exhaust Manifold Questions
Well, it's been a strange couple days. I'm not sure exactly what the problem is. The truck is running great right now. I played with the heat riser and the carb and the timing and overall I don't think I really changed anything. But it's running great. I'm thinking something is sticky--maybe in the carb. Still keeping an eye on the heat riser. I think I'm going to put a kit in the carb next and see how it goes. As it turns out, it is a Rochester carb. Either a model B or M...I have the numbers and it seems to be listed as both?
Any preference on kits for completeness and quality of parts and instructions? Adam |
