I have a ? also. 87-94 was tbi, centerbolt covers-
95 was same but had vortec wrote all over 96-98 was multiport- or whatever gm calls it amd lastly, gm started using the vortec name in 86 I think so my question is, was 95 heads same as 87-94 or were they like 96-98+ question 2, iirc, the first motors to be called vortec were mid eighties 4.3 carb, so what would be the interchange years for them? My info may not be correct, just wondering.

As far as v8 chevy engines go the vortec started in 1996 in pickups/suburbans. 95 and earlier are still TBI.
