My new roller frame

yeah it's 1" - 1.5" forward the clip has to move when you lower it. Even when you lower with a dropped axle, and lowered leafs, the center pin is moved 1" ahead of stock. It looks like it was installed correctly, just a bit to short.

My clip was put in with the original wheelbase. So I had to move the cab back 1.5" and now it is perfect. Thankfully I'm changing to a 4 link rear suspension so I can extend the rear of the frame when I C-notch it and make the bed fit properly. So with that being said, don't worry it can be fixed. My wheelbase is 115 1/2".

If you use the shortened frame couldn't you just trim a couple inches off the front of the bed sides and put it back together?
I am new to this era truck but just throwing out ideas. Me myself, is something on mine is too short I lengthen it, if it's too long I shorten it. It's just sheet metal or even frames are just metal. I am not an excellent welder so I apply a good tack and then call in my professional welder. He could weld a snot rocket to an ice cube "I sh*t u not".

Yea im not too sure on how to fix it. Im hoping it will be fine. I just need to sit the cab and fenders on a cfoss my fingers. Cuz welding stuff is out of my league
