Actually Mike... This trucks vision in the beginning was BLACK... Almost every vehicle I have own in my life is black and my dream truck was Black with "Black Chrome Trim"... You should have went to Carlson's open house... there was a great car show there alone... I saw a 67 C-10 that was from Tennessee that the guy is doing in Metalflake... it was cool as hell...

Wound up going out to my cousin's shop in Goddard. Also managed to sneak into the Doo-Dah for monkey bread and Burritos! Truck looks good!

I gotta admit if i had that truck (original pic) It looks so nice i may have been afraid to do any work to it!

The truck is at Chris Carlson's Hot Rods... They have Started Wiring, installing the front drive on the engine and installing the Aircontioning, Fuel Lines and Brake Lines... all of that should be done by the end of next week...

Well Guys... the appearance of progress has been slow... There has been alot of strategic planning of some things on the truck to prevent theft in the future... So not appears to have been completed... what you can see in the pictures is that the Vintage Air box is in and the Evaporator is roughly installed... They also have put alot of the wires under the truck in looms and stretched through the truck...You can also see the Power Frenched antenna...

The guy that is working on it tells me they are shooting for Friday to fire it up for the first time... I have my doubts but you can bet Friday Afternoon I will be standing there...

By the way if you look in the background of the second of the last picture you will see a Dark Blue Pearl 40 Ford Pickup.... It is featured in the October 2016 issue of Classic Trucks... This truck was built by Chris Carlson and is flippin awesome...

Here is a little more of a update from Yesterday... they have the rear speakers and cutoff switch mounted with a fellow message board members cab corner pieces also have the coil mounted and here is a picture of the wiring through the floorboard to for the front harness...

Chris keeps telling me it will come together quick once all the preliminary stuff is done... I keep waiting... LOL

I am running a SBC (327) with a Turbo 400 trans and 308 Gears... The rear tires are 295/50x15's...

What Speedometer gear do I need for a accurate speedometer...

Here's a link to the calculator on TCI's site. You'll need to know the tooth count of the drive gear on the trans output shaft. Occasionally, with a steep rear gear or really short tires, it may be necessary to change the drive gear as there's no driven gear that will work to get you where you need to be. I've never run into that, but I've heard it's theoretically possible.

Guys... I am getting a bit Excited... I am told if I go to Chris Carlson's Hot Rods Tomorrow the Truck will be started for the first time in 5 1/2 years... We are getting closer to having a running truck that will move under its own power... I am like a little kid on Christmas eve waiting for Christmas day to open my packages... LOL
