Re: And so it begins................

I fixed my sander with another cheap part so I'll see if I can get the other fender done tomorrow.

I'm also going to do an HEI swap and see if I can clean the engine bay.

Re: And so it begins................

I pulled the cover off the rearend to look things over after hearing some clanging noise lately. I found a shim that had slid out almost to the cover. I don't know what that means but I'm sure it isn't cosher.

If you're going to do it right then go with the good stuff. Mobil 1 !!!!

I figured he knew better but wasn't sure That thin stuff might make your truck feel quicker for a few miles. I'm sure my axle fluid desperately needs changing (noisy as heck) but someone rounded out the frakking fill bolt... I could drill the cover to use as a filll at school but don't care enough to do it

You know, I didn't see much metal at all and it didn't seem to have as much slack in it as my '90 10bolt but then I didn't have it up on a lift like Scott did with my other truck so it's hard to say. Maybe it had been flushed before but I did notice that the old lube seemed to be extremely thick. It was a little low too. Should have been more in it than what I got out but I didn't see any big leaks.

Re: And so it begins................

He sure did. We lined up the Cheyenne against it on a back road over here and the first time he sorta bogged down because he'd tried to hold the gas and the brake. The second go round, he dropped his arm and just let off the brake and stepped on the gas and that friggin' truck LAUNCHED. By 45 he had a truck length and a little change on me.
