Here are the cast members of a father/son project.

Son; jcaugmented has a build report on a 69 C-10 also.

S-10 is bagged all around and will give up it's life for the 50 GMC.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59

Thanks... I found it in AZ when I was in the USAF... was a DPW truck in NM at some point... the paint under the green is school bus yellow, and the body work is definitely high-school shop class freshman quality.

No plans to paint it, but I'm waffling between a M-II IFS and a 3" straight-axle drop right now. Took out 3 of 6 leaves in front, 4 of 8 in back.

Thanks Jim, and yes it was Nats North. The fairgrounds is less than 10 minutes from my house.

Great looking truck! I noticed the absence of a radiator cover. What are you using as a hood latch?

Thanks...Old pic. Here is one that shows my radiator panel. I have an aftermarket latch mounted to the underside. I went with a very minimal approach.

Your truck is outstanding. The paint and fit and finish make it look like a hundred thousand dollar project. I have one question. Those rubber bumpers, where did you get them and are they also for a 54? Keep up the good work. As far as the time spent, I have receipts from 1989 it's just how it goes sometimes.

Thanks for the kind words...(I assume you were referring to my truck). Yes it all takes time. This was my first attempt at working with vintage steel and I'm just an average guy with self taught abilities and a modiest budget. It shows what it possible if you stay the course....

The rubber hood bumpers are standard for 47-54. He is a link to a source.
