All better! Yes, it is Lee Swangers. Have you read the whole build page? I'm going to do the same thing with mine, then ad a turbo or super to make about 300hp.

Here is his custom Olds 455 "Swanger Air"

His truck is sweet! Pump turned up all the way and true dual 3" pipes!

It`s a nice truck.Yeah,I`m familiar with the build.He had Diesel Depot build it from an`82 block.I have stuff to build a performance motor.I`m not sure if I`ll build it or sell the stuff.

Actually he had them build it from a 93 block, strongest year for the 6.2. I love the white manifolds and custom 2.5-3" adapters. Looks very "macho".

It`s been awhile.I guess he did use a 589 block since he went up to 6.5.I don`t remember ever hearing the`93 block is stronger.Why would they make it stronger on it`s 10th year then make it weak again for several more years?The early 6.5s and late 6.2s shared the same block,the 589.The first year,red painted`82s,and GI motors had a higher nickle content and are the block to have.There was talk that only the 589 6.2s could be bored for 6.5 but that`s been disproved.They all can be bored.

Yes. That is a MTU marine 16cylinder diesel 3600HP, from Detroit Diesel heritage. One capable of running on 8 cylinders in low load situations. It belongs in one of these with a twin next to it.

I worked on these out of high school until I went into the electrical apprenticeship.

Hehe... it's a site to see, a 130' boat doing 26 knots. You can surf off of the wake.

No joke. I was "working" onboard during river trials. Somebody got in trouble for capsizing a moored boat.
