Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Was helping my Aunt clean out her garage when my wife said "hey this looks like it came off your truck" Sure enough it was the piece of missing trim from the drivers side quarter panel on my 67!

That's the good news...the bad news is I came home with a lot of junk from that garage Albeit really old, really cool junk. Such as a 3' Prestone Antifreeze wall thermometer, Craftsman tool box, vintage tools, antique wooden ice box refrigerator, fishing rods and some chairs my great grandfather restored including a high chair my great-great-great grandfather sat in as a baby!

I can't answer for him but my 67 with a 327 4 barrel carb, turbo 400, and Eaton 457 gears running down the road get about 6 mpg...

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Why is everyone getting such crappy mpg's? Is it the carb settings? I just have a 2 brl. Rochester on my 350, but I'm getting at least 15.......

Could be rear end: I have a 3 speed on column, 4:11. 250 I6 with Rochester Monojet. It's also anything but "flat" on these roads.....

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Just seems so weird on the mileage, I get at least 10mpg and 8 on a bad throttle day with hills like Sanfransisco here and have a min of 480hp 454 with big 38.5" tires (heavy) in a 4x4 so still don't get it. Plus I don't putter around but drive it. Tune up is spot on always though.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Installed a B&M Megashifter.
The cab still needs the Stick shift hole sealed, Dynamat, Padding, and carpet.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I run a sm465 also in my gas pig, the Megashifter looks killer, sits up just nice, not to low or high, good choice, does take up a bit of the the box part though doesn't it, how does it work for you.
