I know they did lots of crazy things to Corvairs in the past.

Re: Corvairs

I have told this before ,,but a friend of mine had one of the first Corvairs and he took some 1960 Chevy tail lights and drill holes added and replaced the ones the car came with ,,not sure any more how many he added .

Yes. I think he called Lead Hill home. He had a sister near by too. Maybe just over the Mo line. He was a real funny guy.

Ed Kelly is a member here and in our local truck club. He is a member of the National Corvair club and does a lot of work on them. He is very active in this area. He has had several and his son is also into them.
I asked him on F/B to chime in.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Corvairs

Uh oh. Ralph Nader got hold of that one. But this guy will fix it with his bucket of Napa parts.

Re: Corvairs

I bet that's the lowest mile Corvair out there.

I always wanted to do a V8 mid-engine conversion. Talk about a sleeper. Surprise them at the light... yeah. But let them follow you into the curves and some of the sportiest cars out there will be struggling to keep up

Here are some fine Corvairs w/information, though somewhat annoying

Re: Corvairs

It's Corvair night at the movies. Those cars were cool in those videos, real good looking cars. That mid-engine V8 thing makes them quite a car. I just watched this and had to share. If there is any doubt left whether a mid-engine Corvair one badass s.o.b. in anyone's mind, just watch this when you get 17 minutes free

Yeah, two heavy hitter Chevy powered race cars, Cheetah and Grand Sport Vette, and that Corvair was running them all down. I want that!!
