Back a few posts ago I unsubscribed to this thread and re-subscribed with instant notice. I get no notices. I am thinking instant notices do not work at all, and all other notices do work.

I did get a daily email yesterday afternoon but it only showed one of the threads I am subscribed to and when I came to the site user CP it showed I had 4 active.

I think if you were to create a brand new account, set preferences to instant notification, and post a new thread, and reply to a couple of threads, and subscribe to a couple of threads, you would get no notifications.

the daily seems hit and miss anyway. I forgot to screenshot the user CP before I opened a couple of the threads I am in and only ended up with these 3 in the snip. The second snip is of the daily emails I just got. I did not open any threads until after I got the emails.

I am going to switch it back to instant and see what happens

I still receive no email notification. I did just go in my trash folder and transferred one into my inbox to see if it helps. Strange thing is the most recent one was from 8/4/22? All others are MIA? Weird for sure...

I just came up from the Shop'

I noticed that the 7 threads that I changed to daily.

I got a Notification at 7:30 for all of them

It seems to be only affecting the instant notifications. Daily & PM emails are working. buying & selling is where the instant works best for me. With the Daily it does not help as much since it could be almost 24 hrs before seeing it if not already checking the site.

Liz, I got something.. The title/subject of that appears to be "New Post/Thread Notification: Site Feedback and Announcements".

The type of instant notifications that are not working are the ones with subject line: "Reply to thread 'I love cheap tools do you?'" with the title of the thread appearing in the subject line.

'I love cheap tools do you?' is one of the posts I subscribed to. The daily notifications don't have "Reply to thread" in the subject. And that one with subject "New Post/Thread Notification: Site Feedback and Announcements" is probably some other type of notification for which instant notices are working fine, kind of like instant notices for PMs are working fine.

Thanks very much for working on this. Individual thread instant notices are very valuable especially for trying to get advice on today's repair or for buying/selling.

I don't remember if I posted here or not, but I'm not getting any of my instant emails for replies to threads either, but do get PM emails.

I haven't changed any of my thread subscriptions yet, but can change whatever you need me to test

I get instant notifications for the areas I have set to email me instantly. Not per thread. I have been reading and looking at settings. It may be just a minute or 6 a day but I am inbetween parent stuff.

I finallynhad a few hours free this morning. I changed settings and updated some things. I think the emails.should be working now. And the annoying ads are gone.
