I didn't take any pics, but last night I spent about an hour or so on my "new" tailgate. Cleaned it, sanded it and put it in primer... I'm hoping to put in on tonight. I'll take pics of that...
 Oh yeah, also went to the DMV to make her official... Insured, plated and ready for the road... (legally anyways  )

On Saturday morning we had new living room furniture delivered, also we had to assemble some other pieces so the day was all for that. But on Sunday, after the last two shelves were assembled, I went out for some truck work.
Using a piece of an old license plate, I cut a patch for the old 4speed hole in the floor...riveted in. Then using some other pieces I found in the garage and the back of the truck, I got the shift boot together for the new 4speed. Finished it off with some silicone, "Leak Ender 2000", and some Rustoleum satin black. Sure is more peaceful to drive with those holes covered...

Springtime in NM... I was going to drive the truck today for the first time and also have my 15x8's put on the fronts at lunchtime. It started snowing... DAM! It didn't snow enough to not drive the truck, but the wipers don't work... or the heater fan. I haven't investigated why... probably just fuses... anyhow... I drove the '65 instead. Hasta manana!

Muffler's is on! My brother in law gave me this muffler a whiler back. I ended up finding some collectors and buying some clamps. Sounds great!!!

After that, I ended up putting the correct sending unit for my stock gauge. I've been driving without a gauge since we got it running. Hooked up the gauge and ran and it was quick to peg the "H". Now I'm thinking that if it had been running that hot, it would've boiled over and I would've cooked the motor by now. Anyone ever had this same problem? I'm going to put in a manual aftermarket gauge to see what's really going on. I'm hoping it's either a bad sending unit or gauge.... there's no way it could actually be running that hot.

check for a ground on the sending wire, i have a bare spot on mine and it grounded out on the valve cover, causing me temp gage to peg put on H
