Re: What's the other half driving?
Well....the wife's ride is the reason for some of the upgrades to my truck. You see....when I had the 383 stroker in it we happened to get lined up at a light. The stroker didn't have enough to take her....thus the LSx upgrade.
2006 TrailBlazer SS - 395hp/400tq LS2 - 4L70e "Super Duty trans - 9.5" 14 bolt rear w/4.10 posi....stock. Runs high 13's right at 100mph in 1/4mi.:

Re: What's the other half driving?
Doug, didn't you have a really cool "Box" at the show last year. Now, I have to ask you--do you really make the wife drive something that is not as shiney?

05 Scion XB for now. She really wants to drive her 1980 Volvo Bertone cp.
That wont happen till I finish the 5.0 Furd swap.

Re: What's the other half driving?
I love that G8 piecesparts! That is exactly what we were planning to get after our G6 got smacked twice within a few months which is why we got the BMW but good ole Government Motors decided to kill the Pontiac division as a knee jerk reaction to their bankruptcy. By the time we started looking for a G8 to replace our G6 all of the V8 cars were gone and GM has nothing that appeals to us right now….except for the Camaro which isn’t a realistic daily driver. The G8 looks like a BMW anyway so we decided to get the real thing……I mean, my boss decided for us that we were getting a BMW. It is just a lease so if the Commodore based Impala comes to life in a couple years we may reconsider GM again.

Re: What's the other half driving?
yup thats what I read.....the Cops are getting a LWB version thats called the Impala (I think) and they're going to do a shorter version (the Caprice, and/or maybe even a Camaro based Chevelle coming?) for the rest of us.

Re: What's the other half driving?
We only have one vehicle now... money was too tight after our second daughter was born, and with me working from home, i made sense to go down to one... I hated selling the burb but we had to.
Right now just the 04 Dodge Durango 4.7L, it is coming up on 120K miles without a problem.

Re: What's the other half driving?
My better half has had many different rides over the last few years. She started with a 03 Mustang GT. We sold it for something with more room. Then we got a 06 Trailblazer SS. That was a blast, but sold it to get her current ride. A 2003 Tahoe. I'll have to take some pics of the Tahoe, and try to dig up some of the Mustang.
