Re: New old guy.

Whoever is listening. I pulled intake off. The more I thought about it, I'm unfamiliar w torque wrenches and got confused w the clicks on cheapo wrench Autozone loaned me. And when I took it off some bolts were not as tight as others and I'll feel better when I'm more liberal w rtv at ends. Ss no big deal, I'll get quality torq wrench and re-RTV the ends. I've seen manifolds 'clearcoated', looks good and seems it would be easier to clean. Can anyone give advice on clearcoating?[IMG][/IMG]

Re: New old guy.

Not sure on clearcoating, tried it once but after a month turned kind of yellow, may have used the wrong stuff though, someone else may know more.

Re: New old guy.

Got a some paint on today. Water pump hanging there drying. New Intake gasket tomorrow and I'll put it on right Lonnie. For anyone else, I dont want to talk about it. (thats how bad I brain farted it) So intake, water and fuelpump, couple litlle things over next couple of days then to mechanic buddies shop for swap. He might take existing 350 for the work he'll do.[IMG][/IMG]

Re: New old guy.

When I first got block. No help around to get it on engine stand?, no problem with trailer park hoist. (many re-rigging scenarios to get needed head room) [IMG][/IMG]

Re: New old guy.

[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]Hopefully this seat change wont have to cost any money. (gotta take a break from getting that motor going) Want the blue one out so will shampoo this $15, no tears and firm, flat junkyard seat, wheel off a little rust, and spray something on the bare metal. I like it. Gotta concentrate on the SEAHAWKS rest of the weekend. I'll get back to it on Monday.[IMG][/IMG]

Re: New old guy.

Yeah, no clear, EVERYONE advised against it. Think I was going on a Hot Rod Mag picture. Looks cool and clean but not practical. Wont have a garage and helper for the swap for couple of weeks so I'm off the motor and doing a few things to truck. How bout those SEAHAWKS! Big news around here. Fireworks went off last nght like the 4 of July.

SEA-!!!!!!!...

Just kidding I only watch NASCAR. But that game was hilarious. I knew the Seahawks were going to go to the SB and win when I watched them play the 49ers... Nice deal on the seat!

Re: New old guy.

He'd be paying me back for encouraging him to sniff the end of the vacuum hose. LOL.sucked the wet right off his nose. .....and they say a Jack Russell (Jack Russ mom, ??Dad) can jump 5x his height, but I bet this little guy is looking forward to a 5-7 drop as much as I am. I have a line on 3 bay garage in exchange for property management. Ill find out this week...then you'll start seeing some mods.

Good luck on the 3 bay, would sure help to not be so crowded, still need to bring your big helper though.

Low Elco tried to warn me at #120 post. After all I do for him, little Kipper left this on just shampood, still drying seat. Ive become sympathetic to animal abuse from watching Animal Planet or Kipper might have been dropped kicked two yards over.[IMG][/IMG]
